I used to be a super fan of Flickr when I first got my Panasonic Lumix FZ30 super zoom. I went to look for cool stuff to photograph so that I could post on Flickr. And then... I started to get lazy and was also afraid to post too many photos because there is a limit of only showing the most recent 200 photos if you are not a PRO account subscriber (but no worries, though, because the older 201th or so photos will magically reappear once you subscribe for a PRO account and whatever links you have will still show these older photos). I'm just plain stingy and in my country the exchange rate is US$1 = RM3.1 at this moment. I'm not paying this because I'm not a PRO and I snap at my own leisure.
Which is why I'm delighted to say Instagram suits me rather well. So Flickr or Yahoo, is there any chance that you may want to do away with this 200 photos limit now that you have a nice app that is quite Insta, too? I suppose you made this app to compete with apps like Instagram? Twitter is doing it, too!
You can make the uploaded photos much smaller than its original resolution, you can maintain your current upload limits, but please do away with the 200 recent photos one? Just my two cents.
p/s. Flickr has turned everyone's account into PRO for a few months so it's a good time to check it out now.

"Lou Sang", "Lou Hei", 撈起 or Prosperity Toss
Every year during Chinese New Year or the few days (nowadays the few weeks) before, Malaysians that celebrate this festive season will come together and "Lou Sang". During this process, everyone will speak auspicious stuff while using one's chopsticks to mix the ingredients. This dish commonly comprises of colourful stripped vegetables, crispy stuff and raw fish. Hope that gives a rough idea on this. For a better understanding, check out Wikipedia's comprehensive explanation.

RIP Mac Mini?
Is Apple really going to discontinue the Mac Mini as the report from Apple Insider suggested? That could very possibly mean that I may never own a Mac given the other models are super expensive. I may very well be doomed to remain a pure Windows user... Oh wait, I'm also a iOS user and occasionally STILL an Android user.
All's quite well, then.

Apple Made Android?
Just like how the older Michael Keaton Batman made the Joker, according to this article, this was how Apple made Android OS...
Really?

Is Apple Falling?
While the world is busy talking about how Apple is losing its touch and how its shares are tumbling, there is at least one user who feels Apple is still relevant and that would be me.
It could be because I came into the iOS scene late having been using a HTC Android phone for almost 3 years. I only got my iPad coming to a year and the iPhone only last month.
While I continuously complain how Apple made my iPad twice as slow by announcing the 4th gen version just six months after I bought my 3rd gen and why the iPhone 5 doesn't support the Malaysian LTE frequency despite being a global phone, there is something about iOS or the hardware that still got me entranced... I don't remember being so excited using the HTC. With the iOS devices, I've been buying apps but I didn't buy many while I was using an Android...
Heck, being a person the hated queues and wondered why people would line up for a phone, I did just that - to queue for the iPhone. So what secret recipe did Apple put into its devices? Or maybe it's just me while the whole world prepare to abandon Apple for...?

Coffee of the day...
... at this coffee place called Ipoh Town that is in Puchong which is no where near Ipoh... Iced white coffee in a metal mug. Tastes like the usual white coffee.
Another version using Instagram here.

About time! A zombie movie with a heart!
I really don't know what's happening. I think it's a plague. Here's another zombie movie called Warm Bodies:
Only that this is not any zombie movie you've ever watched...

World War Z!
Well into the second week of 2013, has life been good? Not for me... was sick pretty much the whole weekend and still kind of under the weather now... pretty much a walking zombie minus the strength and lack of pain tolerance, really, so what better trailer to share with you than Brad Pitt's upcoming Summer flick. Enjoy!
Are you zombified yet?

The Blindfilmcritic
We don't associate the blind with photographers but here's one that uses his iPhone and Instagram to take photos. He is Tommy Edison and I think he utilises the iPhone and Instagram way better than me. You can find him at instagram.com/blindfilmcritic. Below a video of how he does it.

The Second Ramblings of 2013
And so here I am to tell you why I was rambling on and on and on giving the iPhone 5 a name that is comparable to the iPad. To most people they really are different devices, no doubt. But to me, these two work almost seamlessly with iCloud working in the background to make sure they are both synced. Based on my experience, the best of human partners are no where near this well synced.
Ahem, back to the iPhone and iPad. Why I had this thing about comparing them was because after getting my iPhone after an "unexpected journey" with my bud, I was torturing the phone for the whole day. After finally letting it charge peacefully, I took up the neglected (twice as slow) iPad 3rd gen and woah, it weighed a tonne...
Fast forward a few days of using both iOS devices interchangeably, I found that they almost are able to do the same things one with extreme mobility while the other with great screen assets. Inadvertently, I called my iPhone a mini iPad to ONLY realise a few days later that it was not appropriate because a real iPad Mini exists (one that I immediately fell in love with at first contact). Hence, the iPad nano name was born...
That'd be all for today, folks! Until we meet again, good night. Can someone play the "Alfred Hitchcock presents" theme now?

Happy New Year!
Have a great 2013 year ahead, fellow readers (whom I suspect are less than a handful). What would become of this blog in 2013? From the current trend I guess we can expect a downward trend in blog posts but I hope not...
A brief one this will be but I would need to express my thought: What is the iPhone 5 to me?
It's more than a phone, that's for sure. I would like to call it the iPad mini but Apple got ahead of me so I'll call it the iPad nano but (again) there is the iPod gen 5... I know what to call it... iPad nano wifi+3G! No LTE here and even if there is our Malaysian LTE bandwidth is not supported by the iPhone 5. There you go, my thought for the first day of the year.
