The minister was commenting on a report by the Consumers’ Association of Penang (CAP) that consumers could not find cooking oil in 1kg plastic containers for the past two weeks. Pulau Pinang State Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Lau Chiek Tuan was saying the 1kg packaging was discontinued due to rise in crude palm oil prices.
