Indonesians and Filipinos Top In Crime Involving Foreigners

Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Mohd Johari Baharum said that 947 criminal cases involving foreign nationals, mainly Indonesians and Filipinos, were reported in the first three months of this year. On rape cases, 24 of the cases involving foreign nationals, 16 were committed by Indonesians, seven by Filipinos and one by a Myanmar.

Filipino and Indonesian nationals also made up the most number of foreigners involved in criminal intimidation and extortion, followed by Vietnamese, Myanmars, Bangladeshis and Thais.
