From Star Online Nation:

Dr M diagnosed with lung congestion

KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been diagnosed with lung congestion associated with a heart attack (myocardial infarction) and chest infection (basal bronchitis) by the attending consultant cardiologist Datuk Dr Nasir Muda.

Dr Nasir concluded his condition after a thorough examination.

Dr Mahathir was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) on Tuesday after having breathing difficulties while in Langkawi.

A statement released by IJN said that Dr Mahathir’s medication had been tapered down as he continued to show positive response to chest physiotherapy and light exercise.

He will remain at the cardiac care unit for continuous monitoring and treatment.
