It seems that disabled people are not allowed to board AirAsia flights unless they travel with a companion. Barrier-Free Environment and Accessible Transport Group (BEAT) coordinator Christine Lee tried booking online. When she reached the page where one would need to confirm if special assistance is required. To be precise, the sentence goes like this: Please check this box to confirm that you do not require Special Assistance. By not checking on the box, a message will pop-up asking the customer to contact AirAsia's call centre. Christine Lee then called the call centre only to be told that they do not take passengers who are completely immobile.
