Advances in science may eventually help the disabled to walk again...

The device above, invented by a neural engineer called Matthew Schiefer may one day evolve further and help stimulate the nerves and muscles of paralysed limbs. Right now there is a major hurdle on how to really connect this device to the brain or a really smart device that can help stimulate the muscles to do the walking motion.
