A statement issued at the end of the meeting said Indonesia had cut down on the number of hot spots by 51 per cent last year in both Sumatra and Kalimantan compared with 2006. Indonesia has targeted to reduce the number of hot spots by half next year, 75 per cent in 2012 and 95 per cent in 2025.

More Haze Then Than 2006
