When I came across this article (Star Online "Do away with Malaysian time mentality, says daily") , I had to concur. I have my fair share of being invited to wedding dinners. Hence, experience late arrivals of many other guests (after a few times, I have to admit I myself arrived late by around half an hour). However, I am not so sure about other functions, being not a very social person. :D
But yeah, really, we need to stop this. We are being ridiculed by people from other countries. In one of the weddings, there were guests from neighbouring Indonesia. They had quite some fun making jokes when they were told that this is a Malaysian habit.
