Finally, Something Bad About Green Tea

And also proof that taking too much of anything is not good, even though it is healthy stuff. NewScientist.com's "Green tea can be harmful in large quantities" refers to a compilation of studies done by State University of New Jersey. While polyphenols in green tea could prevent heart disease and cancer, it can, at the same time, damage the liver and kidney.

But fear not, anything less than 10 cups a day is fine. However, those taking supplements should cut down as a single pill could contain up to FIFTY times the polyphenol in a single cup of green tea. Studies have shown that people suffer from liver toxicity after overdose of these supplements. These symptoms stop when the supplements stopped only to resume again once these people started taking the supplements again.

So... beware!
