No More Bribes!

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan had spoken. No more bribes with the upcoming civil servant pay rise between 7.5% to 35% come 1 July this year:

“If anyone in the force takes a bribe, he or she must be prepared to face the consequences.

“There is no help for anyone as this (taking a bribe) is wrong under the law. We mean business and immediate action will be taken if anyone is caught.”

And of course, a little about himself:

"Based on the number of cases where disciplinary action had been taken, corruption in the force showed a drop since I took over as the IGP.”

While the IGP is talking about that, the police will also be introducing new methods to counter all these bribery and corruption issues. Though declining to reveal what the new measures are, police integrity department chief Senior Asst Comm (II) Datuk Asri Yusoff said one way was to have a special room where complaints will be recorded.
