This is about a recent pipe burst in the immigration HQ in Malaysia's administration capital, Putrajaya.
Star Online Nation "Works Minister: Pipe installation at Immigration HQ flawed from the start" reported that Works Minister Datuk Seri S Samy Vellu said the piping was not conforming to the specifications issued by the Public Works Department: From the beginning, the pipes were fixed without being coated with couplings and they were not anchored to the wall.
Such a statement does raise lots of concerns, doesn't it? What will be done for the rest of the building? Check all the piping from end to end? If all are flawed, then how? Get the contractor to rectify it all? Or will the government pay for others' mistakes? Who will take the blame for accepting the building from the contractor?
