The Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) begins cleaning water pipes (before individual meters in premises) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya even without having any complaints lodged. This is done by flushing out sediments and residues collected in the pipes known as the air-scouring technique.This initiative will benefit 7 million consumers and affects 13,000km of 100mm to 150mm pipes. Besides that, consumers are advised to clean out our water tanks every six months. Never knew that.
