The Amazon River

It is now unofficially the longest river in the world, longer than the current official longest Nile River in Africa. It is 4,225 miles (6,800 kilometers) to The Nile's 4,160 miles (6,695 kilometers).

Also, the Amazon River (now flowing from West to East) used to flow from East to West (Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean)! What an interesting long river!
