A 2.5m crocodile was sighted in Danga Bay, Johor Baru yesterday and firemen were called in to catch it. It is believed to be swept in by floodwaters. The firemen tried to lure it out of the water with a chicken but failed. What I found scary was this part of the news report from Star Online:Johor Baru Fire and Rescue Department commanding officer C. Kesavan said that the firemen were only trained to catch crocodiles on land, not in water.
After two hours of trying, the firemen gave up and left the scene.
I hope this is not the end of the story! I had been to Danga Bay once and it is a tourist attraction-cum-night spot... can't be safe with a roaming crocodile!!!
