Oh yes, there is a musical adaptation of the two Legally Blonde comedies (2001 and 2003) starring Reese Witherspoon. The original movie was about blonde Elle (Witherspoon) being dumped by her boyfriend. To get him back, she went to the same law school as him... and she ended up being a very good lawyer. The second movie... that one I did not watch.
This musical seemed to have garnered rave reviews from many American critics... seems like it's on its way to success! Well, I do still find it weird to have a comedy like this to be made in to a musical but here you go... anything can be done these days. :)

I can't believe they made this into a musical ...
I saw this show in San Francisco. It was great. Will be as big a hit as "Hairspray" was on Broadway back in 2002.
Still can't imagine. I really need to go Broadway to check this out...
